If I understood this right christoph was there when lucaons family was killed and he was the one that put the solution and since he has always had a soft spot for ryan he probably didn't put the solution in his wine.... not so sure this is right i might be wrong tho (:
I think it was because of his years of hibernation since the culprit who mixed the solution to the wine died from being burned by Christoph.
