I have a story like this but the uke has a brother who is a brocon and also has a lover from his work (?). And the seme is jealous of the brother's lover relationship with the uke

So the uke and seme are childhood friends, and the uke confesses and thinks that the seme likes him back. The uke kisses the seme only to find out the the seme had not understood the confession. They eventually end up together. It might have been part of a father with a kids story.
