I don't think Bum did that the woman probably went to find his pole because she guilty that it was her child that made him lose it in the first place. When she looking for it the kid must have went off somewhere where wasn't supposed to be she probably trying to grab him and ended up like. But the question is will Sangwoo save them in opinion cause he is starting to change a little so let's see what happens next.
I'm in complete agreement here. Bum, has not shown any form of glee, happiness, or anger when he killed that one girl. Moreover, he flinches when Sangwoo mentions it.
it was more like he broke, and as he said, "I feel nothing." He may have noticed Sangwoo's mood worsen with the mother. But, as a victim of abuse and having to "be a burden" on others, Bum can't possibly blame himself for the board or the pole. it's all about him, because the person he presumes to have power over him, is constantly with him.

Moreover, Bum is clumsy. He'd need Sangwoo's assistance to properly kill or initiate it at this point. So, currently, I does not match his MO, or personality.
So, I think maybe the woman felt bad and she did try to retrieve it, as winter said.
Sangwoo didn't ask him where he went he asked him if they should go together this time but Bum wanted to go back to the hotel. Besides, Bum didn't have the time to kill (or try to kill) anyone and there were still many people around who could've seen him. Bum arrived at best a few minutes after Sangwoo and Bum is still a beginner which means that he's slower than Sangwoo. Unless Bum did this to them within a few seconds I don't see how he could be the one who did it.
I think Bum is responsible for the accident with the mother and her child. I believe they went searching for the pole and Bum followed and attacked them. Maybe he wanted to kill them because he noticed Sangwoo's behaviour? Look at how their ski's are both missing from their feet? But there were trails from the one ski in the snow, these could be Bum's. Also when Sangwoo asked him where he went, he didn't want to answer him and his expression looked very suspicious.
I wonder what will happen, I guess Sangwoo will rescue them and turn onto Bum. Maybe a conflict will arise
