Imo the mangaka really tries to be somewhat realistic in her stories and sometimes the concept do reaches me but sometimes its lost. The cheating sure left a sour taste in my mouth but then uke did love the old mentor so?? Idk. There was one thing that I didn't like and that was the son feeling like he had to outdo his father to be accepted by his lover. I can understand the feelings of losing a beloved but with time you move on. You don't compare them to your current lover or make them feel insecure about themselves. Its just twisted. And that was the one thing I couldn't digest.
