"She is a female, she shouldn't do that" or
"It's fine if guys do it, but girls can't?"
What they don't understand is gender has no relation with abuse. Slavery and rape is WRONG no matter where we go. I know many people say that because they feel like we are not treated as equals, but I wouldn't have read it even if the situation had been reversed. A pretty faced character is not gonna change my feeling on this topic. Many people fail to see the real issue here.....
I agree to both of you.. Gender is not an issue with slavery and abuse. Slavery and abuse is an horrible act, either committed by either a man or a woman

Still, I hope that what I said opened up at least a few minds. People need to be less aware of gender. It's the same as races, etc. Inequality only exists because people are continuously pointing things out and going on about how we aren't treated equally or some other kind of way.
It's good to recognize when people aren't treated the right way of course,
but by doing those things they are basically pointing out that we aren't equal.
It has the opposite effect.

Haha No worries I'm just glad some people took it upon themselves to take a stand on this topic. Even if it doesn't change the mindset of some people, it atleast encourages them to ponder over it. Honestly, I couldn't have agreed more about the "Read what they want and not read what they don't". As you said, It's a story and people should just take a casual approach on it instead of getting all defensive over something that will only spread hate and negativity (towards people you don't even know). As fr the ranting.......aren't we the different sides of the same coin ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
It's probably normal to have slaves in this time period, not to mention, he asked to become hers as well. He's not really a slave either, more like someone who is dependent on the queen and made a deal to stay there and made the most of what she can provide.
Everyone is complaining about gender for various reasons such as 1. if gender was reversed you would care 2. As a female, she shouldn't do that 3. The gender reversal makes this more interesting, it's usually the female that becomes a slave. GUYS REALLY? THE GENDER DOESN'T MATTER. Yes, sexual assault is wrong. No, people don't think it's okay because she's not male. Everyone is bringing up gender to explain why its wrong or okay, but in the end the only thing people should be upset about is that HUMANS ARE TAKEN AS SLAVES AND ARE SEXUALLY ASSAULTED BY HUMANS WITH A HIGHER STATUS. That is the topic at hand, not what gender is in what role. Seriously, gender equality will never TRULY exist when people are like this...
