It's definitely a bl, manwha. Mc had short hair I think? So did the guy who saved him. I did remember that the followers talked about respecting him but assualted the mc in name of religion. Sleeping with him tranferred the god's power of fortune to the followers. The ml (one of the ml?guy who was trying to save) also dies during altercation when they are caught escaping. Then turns into a ghost. Stories continues like that.
I think it's one of those stories people have in the tip of their tongue but can't remember ╥﹏╥
