I gotta say most of this is on Nemu. Don’t get me wrong, Ruka is a miserable, bitter ass person and misery loves company but as soon as this dude straight up starts talking shit about Nemu and Maya’s relationship, he shuts down. This is simple as hell and it’s slowly getting twisted into a whole bunch of other shit the longer they wait to talk.
Nemu backed down to Ruka, Nemu repeatedly backs down to the glances Maya gets (hence leading to him comparing himself to Maya and his insecurities tearing a hole into his heart), he even backs down to himself. Every time he considers being straight up (and this barely happens) he turns this into a fault and blames himself and he ends up feeling like he’s a horrible person.
If they would just sit down and talk, have a 1, 2, or even 3 hour conversation (however long, it doesn’t matter) they could clear up so much crap, especially that Ruka bullshit
I get Ruka is a bitter bitch but like I said, as soon as he flat out started talking shit about their relationship, Nemu falls apart, holds it in, keeps it from Maya, turns his need for feeling a little needy for Maya into him “being a bad person”, followed by him comparing himself with Maya’s looks, and coming into “we should take a break” thing
My thing is if Nemu can’t place some security in himself, at least place it in the relationship. They’ve been going strong for what? 3-4 years? If Maya isn’t at work, he’s with Nemu and if Nemu isn’t teaching, he’s with Maya. Nemu is on Maya’s mind a whopping 95% of the time, looks at nobody else but him, and he doesn’t even notice that other people give him the eye in passing. And Ruka honestly needs to sit the fuck back. It’s cute that he thinks he more fit to be in a relationship with someone like Maya when he’s extremely closed off, (like I said) bitter as hell, miserable as fuck, and has a jealousy issue over someone who isn’t even looking at him in that way. He’s too cold for Maya. Omggg like srsly ever since he said all that crap to Nemu, my eye has been twitching.
Overall, I’m sure Nemu and Maya will pull through, they just need to sit down and talk. OPEN UP NEMU you got this
