I think you should go with concept two... it looks original since I've never read a Yaoi manga like that... plus the addition of Stockholm syndrome catches my eye

Concept 1 is so common it is like writing a high school romance between a nerd and a bad boy on wattpad
Concept 2 is much more interesting though I personally believe needs developing, besides that if you do go with the whole mafia idea my god please do actual research into the mafia, because they're very much a real. Also as part of the research it would be interesting if you looked into other criminal societies such as the yakuza

It's original? I think mafia concepts are quite common though. But thank you for saying that. Also, it's not a stockholm syndrome, I'm sorry. It's kinda like this, the uke is also kinda manipulative like in the concept 1 and the seme is too kind to his uke that he let's uke do whatever he wants...most of the time. Kinda like that.

It's okay, I've research already and watched videos or movies regarding mafias. I am really curious with syndicates and mafia, yakuza that's why I read about them. But still as you said I might research more. Thank you for your opinion! I am not offended by the way, some of the readers I had back then were more harsher than you so I am used to it. Immune even.

I'm sorry, it's just a concept for a novel. I am still deciding if I would make it in a webtoon because I am still publishing my current one and I am focusing on that story. But if you're interested I can tell you my art account.

Guys. which one of the two concepts sounds more interesting to you, please tell me, I have to decide on which one to write because I can only write one for a manuscript submission. Here it is (It's for yaoi BTW):
Concept 1: The uke is a playboy slash actor who throws everyone if their partner gets possessive with him. He have a former boyfriend which is the seme. Uke came back to his hometown to take a break and there he met the seme once again who has a girlfriend now. Uke tries to still the girlfriend in order to get back with the seme. Also, uke is a possessive jerk who would bully everyone who'll take an interest to the seme. And seme likes to spoil the uke and too possessive.
Concept 2: The uke is a robber who one day stole from a son of a mafia boss. The son which is the seme is a good guy who denies his throne as the next mafia heir, he also claims that he wants a normal life and is a good person. But because of the uke his bad side kept on showing up. I even imagined a scene where in he is in this freaky rage scene just wielding his knife when someone tried to do something bad to his uke.
Sounds kinda toxic and I'm so nervous that it might not get accepted.
