First of all, the prince had a chance to court Violette before. I feel like he isn't 'in love-love' with Violette, rather he feels something is missing, or he lost something (which of course, he did), but that never meant the affection can't wear off anytime, especially because of his mindset, and how it contradicts with Violette's. I appreciate his loyal friend (I forgot the name) for his supportive nature and plain loyalty, but I hate the fact that he forces and takes every opportunity to make the other party (Vio and Yulan) uncomfortable or just tears their relationship apart. Second of all, her sister. I believe Maryjun is truly naive and innocent, but she really can get on the nerves. She's basically the epitome of the 'perfect woman' in the aristocratic time period and her sense of justice coincides with the crown prince's, but she is more irritating because she doesn't do anything. She's basically "Sister blah blah blah," or "Hello sister, would you like to-", But she never really does anything helpful for Vio, can never read the atmosphere or the mood of her sister, and with the belief that she is truly innocent makes her more irritating as a character. Then her family, all of them are purely terrible family members. First of all, dad, you can't just marry someone like a commoner, when your legal wife died recently. And that never meant you can bully your eldest LEGAL daughter because you hated your deceased wife. And stepmom, at least frow a backbone on being a proper mother on your stepdaughter. Although this does not prove to be easy, regarding Vio's past attitude, that never meant you can't try. And then Yulan. I personally am thankful for this character, though he has a few flaws, because of 1.) He can read the atmosphere, 2.) He is empathetic with Vio 3.) He's passive for to the crown prince despite being an illegitimate son and 4.) He cares about Vio's happiness more than his own, truly a good character for the Male Lead (I do hope he ends up with Vio). Lastly, Violette. I personally see her as a child who was never taught what's right or wrong, and whos mindset focused on 'making herself happy' that she never realized what true happiness meant, as she has never experienced the true warmth of a family. When she realized her mistakes and broadened her mind that she had people around her that truly loves and cares for her (Yulian and her maid). I'll pray that she'll grow affections for Yulan, and am looking forward for the development of the story.
