Give me some examples of what you read because I don't really notice that, it's all the same to me.
In shoujo they don't really wait a long time because their love tends to blossom during their youth, for yaoi it just depends so ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
And in shoujo the main girl usually ends up with her first love so I don't get what you mean

I've been thinking that most of shojo manga that i read if the MC did not work out on the first love of her life she can switch to another one but if shonen ai or yaoi most or almost all of them will wait for their love one even if will take years and if they change their love one it will take a great effort for the new love one to be love by the MC... And it give me thoughts of, is it really the author's wish to have that kind of story or is it a reflection of what we have as a relationship in this time
Well just thinking.. what are your thoughs?(⌒▽⌒)
