I don't think the age difference is too bad here. Personally, I don't like age difference in my own relationships not because of society and how people would look at me (not that anyone gives a shit these days) but because I don't want the other person to get weaker before me and possibly die before me (I'm terrified of loving someone then being left alone even though causes of death like accidents are completely unrelated to age but I still don't want to add age as a possible reason)
Anyway, it's about that and also (this isn't always the case but most of the time it is): If you're with someone 16 years older than you and you're in your twenties then most likely you're going to have different interests and tastes and even habits like sleeping time so it's a no from me unless I find someone super special.
I don't criticize others' choices though and I don't think a 16 year old different is outrageous
