The ending was nice. The main character was never truly himself. He always wanted to be something else. The ending was him letting go of something that was holding him back. Even though I was sad it was a proper ending in my opinion.

    Yeah I agree, and I reread and saw the convo where they were discussing that book they both liked. And it really reflected that they were just two different people at two different stages in their lives. I'm glad MC found his own way.


    But in saying that in retrospect - Haein...was not particularly kind. He never once planned on sticking around. Whether he felt anything or not - it was always just a transitionary period for him, and MC was just a transitionary "friend".

    I guess he had his own issues to deal with, but even through the reread, there isn't really a time where his boundaries went down for MC.
