I don't think other omegas have a low iq in other stories--- they do have trouble with focus and concentration during puberty so their grades fall and they aren't supported or encouraged to do better--that is just book smarts. But this guy....he annoys me..for ex. he has a loving family and see s the lovey dovey omega x alpha parents but he d oes n't understand what having a bf relationship looks like? He just admitted he is just using the alpha, that really sucks. And don't get me started on that bs willpower premise...his willpower is not gonna keep alphas from going into a rut from his pheromones. It's like, hmm, my niece has no allergies but she can't have a pbj sandwich at school bc one or two other kids in her class have peanut allergies and she has to respect that.

People forget (or don't know) omegaverse stories started out as reflection of our society--women and poc are oppressed here and in the alt universe it is the omegas who are oppressed. In some of these fictional stories they send omegas to special schools but never tell you what they're taught, they can't get good jobs bc society sucks. I am with you on that. Yes, up to now he seems dumb indeed. He comes from a loving family so he knows about relationships but he is irresponsible. He is good-hearted and cute, but I want to see his character evolve beyond that. Right now he seems extremely immature and dense. Let's hope in the next chapters he will become aware of his partner and of both their feelings
