oh haru

haru's love is getting way past intense and it just feels predatory now, like it took me time to understand what was so rotten about this series (started reading it too young, currently way past that) and at this rate i just wanna see how it ends. im really invested in ren's friends, shamefully so i close the page if i dont see them, but i wish someone would genuinely advice ren about his relationship with haru, like yes you love each other but you need to grow, and learn how to set your own rules, and define what self respect means to you. ren has none of those, haru has well over passed the line since,, :) since the beginning but we're not gonna talk about that, but even after maturing a bit, he hasnt formed a proper concept of self respect and i really wished that his friends, especially the rude one, help him learn about the subject, so whatever relationship he and haru have grows. and in this essay i will -

The theme of this manga is psychology, mixed feeling between right and wrong and all sort of mental illness (yes, most all the character is mentally ill) that happen is what the mangaka aiming for their reader. I think she made the plot painfully slow is also on purpose.

Hi, just wondering if there is an article or paper she wrote saying that the theme or genre is psychological, I would like to read it. I tried looking for a reference pointing to that but couldn’t find one. I was hoping you could give me the link to her explaining the psychological aspects to the manga. :) Thank you.

Fiction doesn’t always make everything ok. Who tf thought it would be a good idea to have an adult man go after a minor

This series is chock full of characters who are suffering from troubled pasts, had some sort of abusive parenting, and they likely have different levels of PTSD. Nothing about Haru or Ren or even the twins is supposed to register as normal. Their decisions and motivations are twisted and the story is interesting for that reason (in my opinion). Everything in this story borders on grey areas xD

"Nothing about Haru or Ren or even the twins is supposed to register as normal." This made me cackle hujofdjlojdsiru

BUT like! You all said around the same thing about difficult past, ptsd's and it being fiction (lol didn't notice man) but that's why i say i wish there as like a better influence on them! Like the doctor that treats Haru, he's pretty damn nosy overall, Ren's school infirmary who has gotten more than involved in their family, and the nosy teacher who everyone dislikes, they're all more grown than ren's classmates, but they're just as... dumb, or chose to not see it or not do anything about it.

maybe they're all messed up and that's that lol
