Seriously. Like I'd understand her a little bit if all this was happening some months after the investigation. But the investigation literally just ended and she expects his mind to switch and be able to sort out his emotions after he has experienced years of manipulation? She's not understanding at all.
She wasn't hurt because he didn't show up, that's the story she made up to get the servants and people at the dude's mansion on her side so the duke would put on a grand proposal. No rumors will start from them now because they are rooting for Adele. There's a lot going on that you're missing.
Nah, I'm not missing anything, I know what she's doing and why she's doing it but it's just dumb. If he knew what's happening then they could orchestrate something together that would be more grand but she decided to manipulate him and force him into sorting his feelings out very quickly.

This is too much. Adele is just manipulating him at this point. "He hurt her cause he didn't show up" sure, but that happened because of an important matter that HAD to be solved or this whole fiasco wouldn't even be happening right now. Wouldn't it be easier to wait for him and THEN do the whole plan but with him involved? I'm sure he would have understood.
