please look up what emotional abuse is. MD has emotionally manipulated him to thinking it was his fault. He can't just "stop" because he doesn't want to disappoint MD, this commonly happens in abusive relationships which is what Chanwoo and MD is because MD IS abusing him. So don't just say he could have stopped any time because that isn't the case.
