Maybe it would explain that the ML was dropped on his head one too many times as a child. That would explain a lot.

Maybe you should try to read the novel then ( haven't read it so can't say).
Feel like I would love this if it was longer, had more drama/depth to it and explained the loopholes. Otherwise an okay read.
