To be honest, I've never seen/ read "Boku no Pico". I've just googled it and it turned out that it was initially produced as an "OVA". Given this fact, it would be expected that some "brilliant" people would think about turning it into a movie or live action to harness more profit.
This is different however from a manga where we can debate about whether it is so-called art or not. This would be blatant child p**n. From a moral point of view, shotas/ lolis are objectionable all-together along with some other disturbing situations depicted in some of the other mangas.
However, I highly doubt that things would go smoothly for the production company unless it is legal in Japan and if it is, than this a catastrophe. I mean, what are they thinking?!
