same here i'm from the phil. the rate of the manga + shipping fee is dollar and when you convert it to peso how many kilos of rice will you able to buy so you can help those poor people just outside your house. plus my parents my mother is in the house 24hours a day what will she say when she saw that......
Manga in ph is too damn expensive, I only buy One Piece, and if I'd consider buying yaoi a manga I have to make sure it's high quality and basing on what I've seen so far with sublime's work, I don't think I'm getting that. And they licensed love stage too. Damn it.
... Yeah, even the Death Note manga... and I don't really think I would ever see a Finder Series manga on National Bookstore. Haha, but nothing's impossible... if it's Sekai Ichi being sold in NBS expensively, I won't mind saving my money-- It's SEKAI-ICHI. There's nothing to regret about buying that.
Hi guys i'm from the philippines i'm a yaoi fan too (I'm a guy/gay (but not those gays that acts like a total gay or dress like a girl) it's just i prefer guys over girls :P ...ahahaha moving on i'm also looking for a yaoi manga here in the philippines.. You can only find a lot of bl mangas in FULLY BOOKED bookstores and to be honest they're a little expensive one volume cost like 500+ pesos each so far unfortunately i can't see a series with a complete volume stock somehow they only have like 1 or 2 or 3 volumes for a certain story.. i was looking for Loveprize in Viewfinder (but i only found Crimson Spell one volume) , Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and the likes... I guess I would have to go to Japan if I want a lot of Yaoi mangas in their complete volumes..haha hope i was able to help you guys/girls?? :) :3
Same here. I can only find yaoi manga or manga in general in fully booked and it's super expensive, I can't find any in NBS. And I agree they usually don't have the complete collection so if they only have 1 or 2 volumes you can't find the rest of in the store. My other option is buy it online, try ebay or amazon though shipping is really costly. If only I could fly to Japan and haul as many manga I could. And lastly if you are really eager to read the manga and love to get high quality then start learning japanese! It's so much better to read a manga in japanese coz you get to know what exactly is the character is saying(sometimes english translations misses or loses the idea of a word..)
... Hello there Fudanshi-kun! (I hope you don't mind me calling you that) anyhow, it's not really surprising for me to hear that a YAOI manga (which is rare) costs P500+ because it's Yaoi, and it's rare. And I envy you for having that Crimson Spell Manga-- I actually almost buy a Junjou Romantica manga before over Sulit.com... but things happened and I let that once in a lifetime chance to escape. Anyways, I'm seriously planning to buy Yaoi mangas in Japan when I finally can read Nihon-go... and I heard there's a special cafe just opened in Ikebukuro that was exclusive for Yaoi fans!
yeah its true that yaoi manga here in the phil is expensive cause when i bought one from fullybooked it cause like P500+ it really depends on who publish it but there are a lot of yaoi manga in fullybooked alabang in their 4th floor they a have a bookshelf that is only yaoi manga but it will be expensive
well its in alabang town center. the fullybooked has 4 floors and the manga and comic selection is in the 4th floor. you can easily see it because there's a huge sign that says fullybooked
hahaha i don't mind... anyway i didn't buy that crimson spell volume i saw.. to be honest i prefer viewfinder and any other works of yamane sensei than crimson spell i only like valdrigue there and you know the xxx scenes..hahaha i don't know why but i really don't like the seme there...hehe by the way if you live in NCR I prefer you go to FULLY BOOKED Bonifacio High Street Taguig branch than in Alabang Town Center I heard from my friend that they have a whole floor full of mangas there compared to the Alabang branch. I'm planning to go there sometime to see if it's true... :)
oh i see i live in bacoor, cavite :)
I'm honestly grateful for SubLime's licence for releasing Sekai Ichi's English scanlated version... but even if it would be available on English, I don't think I can't buy one copy. X(
