That one makes the most sense, actually. In the web novel if you boss around a male or he lets you climb on his back you have acknowledged him as your mate. So it could easily be misunderstood. Still, I hope they delve deeper into this and explain, because the comic has a lot of differences from the web novel and the rules in the comic are very confusing.
