I think there was an accident where her blueprints got to the prince s fraction and using her machines the dukes castel was damaged and had almost fallen. To me it looks like they had figured out that the machines were made according to her blueprint, and tought she was a spy or betrayed them, so the people and Edward as well became wary and hostile towards her when she suddenly got transported into the middle of the mansion. And if this was not enough, Edward seems to be surrounded with hostile people as well and has a hard time getting the people to help and obey him and was bombed with too much pressure and responsibility, so the mc tries different ways to help him, some of them fails, but then her brother gets into the book/game as well, looking like the emperor, then she makes up a story of her brother and the emperor being long lost twins and made her brother pretend to be a thrown away prince who was forced to leave the palace as an infant for his brothers shake to rise to the trone, or something like this. Thats the most of it without the dramas between Edward and the mc as well as Edward and his guard. (=・ω・=)
