I could be wrong but I guess it somehow is teaching him something his guardian didn’t approve of. If it makes it easier think of it as you tutoring someone for math and they have strict parents and then you giving the kid a porn mag, them finding out And firing you.(not saying you did any of this ofc just an example)

I think it's also cz its supposed to be like because hes the young king, everything he learns will impact the kingdom, so he can't just be learning anything, they want him to lead in a certain way and be a specific type of king which means a very controlled education I guess
In my opinion, they’re just making this a huge deal bc they are corrupt. They purposefully have not been teaching the king properly and his tutor is incredibly disrespectful to the king, which is the whole reason Alicia gave him that book in the first place- so he can actually learn how to be a king. I think they want him to be a puppet king who they control and Alicia is in the way of that bc she actually cares about her brother. They’re just using the fact that she gave him the book and the strictly written law that says only the king’s guardian can decide what he learns to get rid of her.
I think that’s the exact reason why they’re making it a bigger deal. You see it as even the young emperor knows he had to hide it and Ares even disapproves of what he is lacking as he knows what they are trying to do. So I’m curious what will happen now
