Of course it would make sense for Leo to thank hikaru, but he could have taken Leo to the police or something. Leo didn't ask for hikaru’s help and hikaru shouldn’t have expected to be thanked for doing a good deed. That defeats the purpose and makes it seem like you’re doing it from obligation instead of just doing something good. Who said that Leo needed to be taken in? Who is he trying to impress?
Actually I don’t think he was actually going to ask for a thank you at the start I think he was more mad that he was being bratty and that’s why he asked for one I think it was more out of annoying
