I've been looking for a sci-fi/seinen short story compilation manga for a long time, maybe someone remembers it? It's an old title. One of the stories has 2 characters deciding whether or not to go through a procedure that will amplify their cognitive abilities to the cost of very shortened lifespan. One of them accepts it and becomes a world famous musician. Years later the 2 characters meet and discuss their experiences.
Another story is a more romantic story (sorta..) about a servant android and her master. Mortality contemplation ensues.
