Actually I believe this came first soooooo that doesn't really add up. Just because Yuri on ice is more famous it doesn't mean it is the og and everything else is copying it. I love yuri on ice too but idk your comment irked me a little.

First thing I thought - rip off.
I watched yuri on ice about three times in my life, and I certainly remember many scenes from there.

If it doesn't look like Yuri's black outfit then what does? The pose too.
Looking at the publishing dates, it also rises the probability that the creator of yuri on ice was heavily inspired by this thing here.
Plus, he have the cheerful childhood (female) friend, and the guy was called "yura" this is how Yuri P was called by the Russians around him.
Coincidence or a rip off?
