Okay but why is everyone sleeping on Gretchen? She’s a DA survivor from her first marriage, learned to live and love again in her second marriage to the love of her life which was cut short when he died and decided to continue to rise and be strong because of her second husbands love and the support of her friends making it a mission to help other women who suffered DA and was there for the leads going to far as to being completely honest with the FL about what happened after she disappeared. The ML neglected his wife and allowed himself to be swamped with work and the FL was meek and quiet and allowed herself to be manipulated by the shitty mom and left, and Gretchen let the FL know that she understood why she left but pointed out that she wasn’t the only one to suffer either and STILL made it a point to befriend the FL, stick up for her and genuinely grew to care for her and her happiness alongside caring for the ML as well. Also, she took those cards to give the FL business with all her high society friends/clients. Like....Don’t Sleep On Gretchen. She was the best character in this story.
