Because of Lucaon being partly a zero which causes him to be a lot more violent, I don’t think he was capable of having a normal loving relationship in the beginning so the rape makes since. Plus Lucan did not trust servants at all so it most have been very irritating to be attracted to a servant in the first place. He probably raped him not only because he was more violent due to being half zero but also as punishment because he was angry Kyo for liking him and angry at himself for being interested. I don’t think a consensual sexual encounter would have been possible at that stage in Lucan’s state of mind at that time (it would have been out of character for him).

i saw someone saying that the rape part was unnecessary. Well, i personally think it wasn’t necessary but it was a big plus for me. Hmm, but maybe then again it was necessary. If Lucaon didn’t force Kyon, he wouldn’t have gotten attached to him and they wouldn’t have ended up together. I hope you got me.
