4. in my experience some asian colleges tend to look like high school (mostly thai and older japanese colleges, i think) because they still wear their uniforms

i always assumed they were in uni bc of the fact that they live in dorms, dont always wear uniforms and the first page

They are in high school. It’s a private boarding school that’s why it has a dormitory. Just accept that the characters are in highschool. There is no use deceiving yourself. It is what it is.

I just recent found out that the schools thing is a bit tricky because some students can go from junior high to a technical college. I’m not really knowledgeable about Japan’s educational system. But MCs in yaribu are supposed to be 16 years old and Mori high is supposed to be a private academy whose students are elite and engaged in advance classes (but the irony is they dont look elite nor proper). Maybe they are a specialized school? I never really thought deeply abt this. I just thought they were highschool students because of the age and how they call their school plus the environment they are in. I forgot that japan’s system is actually confusing, at least for me.

As to the illegality of underage doing sexual stuff. I’m not sure how it got licensed if that is so as well as the other high school BL which includes the same things. There is an english license for yaribu by sublime.

Maybe it’s on sensei’s part that’s the cause? Because this is just supposed to be some random thing she thought and made a manga of that’s why things are confusing. But there are really schools in mangas that are similar to this, like Teijou Academy for example. To my knowledge, usually they are supposed to spend 3 years in highschool before they go to college. We’ll never know until sensei decides to update their profiles. The previous profile was just full of useless things XD
