The story is good
Yes FL is a crybaby, but there's a strong reason why she's like that (i need to tell spoiler to explain that, but in short, FL is actually really suffered and broken for experiencing the suffering, that's why she keep crying despite the goddess make her forget her previous suffering)

Many people think it's ridiculous that she cries a lot just because she sympathize to a novel character
While the truth is she's the real elzay, and aseph is her soulmate
Aseph is fated to die as a child, but little zay want to save her, she died 3 times and keep coming back to life but always end up failing to save aseph, so she suffers because she saw aseph died repeatedly
The goddess took a pity on her, erased her memories, and send her to modern korea without aseph, aseph get to live and grew up as an adult in the world without zay.... the goddess hope zay can let go of aseph... But despite totally forgot about aseph, zay's heart is still in pain and she's not happy, the goddess eventually send a novel with a real story about how aseph lives without zay (aseph fell for elissa, got heartbroken, and made a deal with a devil, etc.. etc..), and gave her choices to stay in modern korea or to save aseph, she still wants to go back and save aseph (despite she doesn't remember her past life at all but she still can feel it, that's why she cries a lot whenever she read the novel about aseph's sufferings, or when she saw aseph's scars)
