For anyone confused, I think they want a rec where it starts off with the protagonist liking one guy (who might be an asshole). It looks like he's going to end up with the asshole the whole way through, but instead, he ends up being happy with a different, healthier guy who deserves the uke and treats him well.

I hope there's something out there like that. Sounds interesting.
