True. I like that it's open-ended so people can imagine however they want Mashuu and Satoko's relationship to be. Personally, I think they will eventually see each other in a few years. I've seen couples with larger age gaps that make it work irl. Frowned upon, yes. But if they are happy, why not? It's not up to us to judge other people's happiness if they are both consenting adults.
but do you know what? I think this ending is better than a complete conclusion because many people would have loved for them to end together but it would be frowned upon by a whole lot of other people and with a valid reason. Then, if they ended cutting ties that would also be a bad ending. This open ending is valid and the chapter previous to this one is beatiful
