The ending feels forced, a spoiler

First, although cowardly, I side with Yeowoon's act of leaving. He did have an excuse and it was logical, although not ideal, to leave while he still can. Second, I seriously wanted Yeowoon to be with Taejoon because the plot was naturally going for that healthy exit. Even if Woojin was going for that "shit, i love him but I was an asshole. I want to compensate and be a good boyfriend." but, the plot was more naturally compatible for the second lead romance. Taejoon was simply given less spotlight to give a synthetic transition between Yeowoon and Woojin. Personally, it felt forced to make it a "redemption" arc when it's better written as a love story that didn't work because they're simply too far gone into the toxicity.

I forgot this other webtoon where it had this same struggle between the MCs but they didn't end up together because it was just a struggle of self-control for the seme and stretching the uke's patience with the excuse that they just love each other. It goes to show that love is not an excuse for an unstable relationship. Instead, it was an experience that had to stop for the sake of a healthier relationship for the future. (that webtoon had the same themes of gaslighting and manipulative threats, although I admit that it was darker. But I still think that this could have had more substance going for a second lead romance)
