This is the biggest trope literally in at least 75% of all shojou manga from the early 2000’s. I don’t remember any off the top of my head but I know it’s a cliche you’ll find at some point in any of the shojou out there.
I keep running into ones where the girl is dumb and is blindly chasing after the guy and I wish it would be the other way around and it’s kinda annoying idk why I can’t find the ones ur talking about hopefully I’ll find one soon tho
