i literally don’t care about what side you all are on. you can’t deny taku had a big ass influence in haesoo and joowon’s relationship. it’s kinda obvious haesoo is going to end with joowon, as bad as i want him to find happiness on his own, it doesn’t seem as the feasible ending. haesoo’s relationship with joowon is beautiful, but as good as it is, it’s the epitome of toxicity and miscommunication. while haesoo’s relationship with taku... there wasn’t a space for it to begin with. as much as taku tried, that same miscommunications between haesoo and joowon was the downfall of it all. haesoo never had that space in his life, and less for someone like taku, someone that could give him all he needed, but not what he wanted. that is why that scarf scene hurt so much. i don’t exactly remember if taku gave haesoo that scarf... (pretty sure he did) but either way, it’s a literal representation of how taku was discardable for haesoo, sure he gave him a chance.. but it was almost out of pity. taku was a distraction from the real problems for haesoo, taku was aware of it. that he could never fill the same space in heasoo’s heart as joowon did. this chapter was a really harsh blow to the heart. taku knew all along that he’d have to let heasoo go, sooner or later. and it hurts so fucking much because even when he was well aware haesoo was basically using him, he understood. he fucking understood that haesoo would never love him.. and yet he did his best in the time he had, not to make himself happy, but to help heasoo. he never pushed or pressured him, he always made haesoo a priority. taku played an important role. one that happens from the sidelines, slowly, without anyone realizing.
