No your statement is right. It was kinda tricky how the cover looks like a yaoi or shounen ai cover, but I do not think its gonna be bad just cos its not between males, but I still like both yaoi and shounen ai.(⌒▽⌒)

Umm please don’t generalize all of us.. it’s quite rude to people like me that do not fetishize bxb relationships. I may be a fujoshi but I still read shoujo. And bl mangas have a different dynamic to them compared to a straight manga as being gay isn’t normally accepted soo there’s a different kind of struggle for acceptance and love in bl that just isn’t the same in a straight romance. I never said all fujoshis were like this anywhere so I don’t know where you got that from but calling a story with good plot “boring” simply because it’s not about a gay relationship is weird. Most (not all ok) of the g/b stories show so much boobs and puss( i have those) and the focus is more on the girl lead so its kind of boring as time past when you read so many straight stories now i find BL have more heart stories some BL focus on stories not on the genre

Most Yaoi I've read didn't have said struggle of acceptance. They had the same nonexistent plot like those smut-manga, it was just about the sex.
This is alright since nobody is watching porn for the plot.

If someone says the plot is boring because of the wrong gender, that person is more focused on the gender than the plot. Simple as that.

So I prefer the terms "yaoi" and "shounen ai", since "bxb" or "BL" are kinda too vague for me.

For me great characteres are more important than a great plot. So I understand it if someone doesn't like a manga because the MC is not to their liking.

People are happily reading this manga and were disappointed of the whole manga, because one of the MCs has the "wrong" gender.
After reading the argument "bxb is more interesting because of the struggle of acceptance" the first thing that came to my mind were yaoi, where nobody cares if two guys are having sex.
I kinda forgot about shounen ai, maybe because I don't read it much.

Although there are people who enjoy reading shounen ai without ulterior motives, there are others who ship every available guy with another guy, even real people like their classmates. It's like guys watching lesbian porn.
