Shou used his "fiancé" as an emotional punching bag, raped him, and enforced this idea of a submissive wife. It would've been satisfying to see the uke fight or have the backbone to protect himself. However, he was written off to be submissive and just accepts the egoistic demands of the family to give Shou whatever he wants. Besides, he could've had the backbone to re iterate that he was hired to be a housemaid. Instead, he is just plain and flat character who looked like his aunt was taken as hostage to keep from resisting. (oh, he did resist during the rape, but took it as sign that he only made Shou sadder or mad. He wasn't even mad for himself.)
And love? The uke didn't look in love, he looks more like a devoted pet who finally appeased his sadistic master and wanted to grant the family's wish to spoil Shou as well.
The soft art style almost fooled me, but this is just toxic and synthetic.
