he has gone through so much shit throu out his life already never knowing love. he just got scared when doumeki showed love and got cold feet.
he tried to free doumeki from the life he himself has gone as a yakuza. he knows that a normal life is better suited for doumeki (or atleast he wishes for him a normal life)
he knows that yakuza life can kill doumeki someday. he wouldn't be able to stand that so his logical move was to distance doumeki from himself and the yakuza life.

Let's be real, yashiro truly understood that doumeki will chase him whatever it takes but he turned away with a mess left for doumeki. Do you think doumeki will accept it? Ofc not, the mess yashiro left just made doumeki more obsessed with yashiro but also hurted by it, you can see it from the latest chapter.
I agree that they both should stop running and talk. But if they talk from the beginning, then the story will be finished in 20 chapters
I don't know why but i don't think that doumeki is SO badly hurt by it. I think he is just pissed of( a little). And now he is trying a new aproach to gain yashiros attention while trying to pissing him back (⊙…⊙ )
