This manga was published in 2002, and after 16 years, there hasn't been any real development in the story. We get some bits and pieces, but we still don't have answers to the real questions, such as: Ren's background, Ren's mother, kyoko x ren (get together already!).
After investing so much time in the manga, I really don't want to give it up, but man am I frustrated with the pace. (╬ ̄皿 ̄) ┗( T﹏T )┛
Really?
I I'm genuinely surprised by your comment
I mean, I feel like Kyoko has developed so much, specially in the last chapter. I mean, if you compare to before, when she didn't even acknowledge her feelings towards Tsuruga-san, now she's swimming in them (and she probably doesn't even realize it).
The whole Momiji role fits so well the stage in which her love for Tsuruga-san is, like suffering over him and for him. She is reflecting them so well and that only means that when she and Tsuruga-san in fact meet, things will be slightly different than before.
And about Tusuruga-san's past we've seen so much of it already, he's also developed his feelings towards her, maybe we can't see it that much as often as we'd like, but so much has happened and progressed since the beginning.
Hell, they even played the hellish siblings and it was such a blast.
I don't know how long it will be, but I bet the day they trully get together will be the day the story ends.
Because author-san seems to like the old school type of shoujo in which we only see how they happen to get together, how both of them feel broken and pick their pieces before turning into a couple.
Idk, I'm probably biased, because I love this story so much that I'm ok if it goes on and on with this slow burn sluggish pace.

Ps sorry if I sounded rude, but I was really surprised when I saw your comment
That's how I feel too! I previously read skip beat a couple years ago but stopped at the part where she was confronting her mom because my immature and childish mind at the time could not for the life of me follow the story for some reason at that point. So when I decided to reread it, because I really did honestly love this series, now I could totally understand everything. And before beginning to reread just a couple days ago, I saw this comment on how there wasn't any developments whatsoever in the story, it made me kinda deflate on continuing reading this. But I'm so glad I picked it up again because there were developments, slow, but it goes at a pace that fits the story really well. And personally, I love that it's going at a pace where it's not too rushed and the character developments and the plot just kinda overwhelm readers, but also its not too slow that the character developments and plot are so subtle you barely notice. And as a bonus, since it's going at this pace, I don't have to worry about it ending so soon, and therefore I can procrastinate a little longer on what to do with my life TvT
I feel you with the procastination thing, also do that a lot
It's an interesting story, I'm glad you gave it another chance! It's the type of manga that's not only about romance, but about character development and life struggles too, with time I also came to understand it better
Glad to know someone feels the same way about the slow pace :)

Did they change the artist? The art style now looks like an old school U.S. comic book.
Seeing how there was a long break; maybe?
