I can't understand why people thought Towa's existence is unnecessary. He balanced the twins, and threw them off the loop they had been in for years. Of course the twins loved each other, but they also hurt each other. Seiji couldn't be himself because he felt guilty, and Aiji who knew that became afraid that Seiji would leave him someday. Towa tried to understand them, helping Seiji to be more like himself and convinced Aiji that he was needed and would never be left alone. He did come between them, but it only to make the twins happier persons. They were too used to people rejection, so like Aiji said, having someone trying to understand them make him able to stand by himself. That's why Towa was important to them, and although they loved each other, they loved him too. He was like a mediator between the twins. If he wasn't there, it wouldn't be a story and the twins would just keep an omega get rejected by people and hurt each other for life.

Actually, usually when someone loves two persons and can't choose one, I always get pissed. However in this manga, I understand why they need three and for the first time I'm happy no one has to leave. Their love is twisted, but it always makes me happy to have no manipulator in a relationship and the people in it just cares for each other (⌒▽⌒)

Q: "So, what's special about this manga?"
A: "Well, just that there's always another different excused rapist every new chapter."

stupidthinker November 22, 2018 7:29 pm

This is an example of being a sinner doesn't necessarily mean you're an evil to the root. This kind would either turn into a true evil or become a better person or be destroyed. Fortunately the seme was the second. Rape is a sin and nothing could make it right, but I actually admire what he has became after he commited that sin. To be honest, someone like the after-him is quite rare. Someone who admits his sin, refuses to forget, and ready to keep berating himself with guilt for life. But even with his head bows down from the weight of his sin, he keeps moving forward. Some people want to take the easy way out and try to throw that weight away, some others can't bear the weight and destroy themselves, so what he did is pretty amazing. Then again, maybe I can coolheadedly think like this because I'm not in any way related to the victim. If I were, maybe I'd still want to kill him no matter what he becomes. But then again, I'm not and I wish I'll never be ╥﹏╥

Sorry if there's anyone who's hurt from this comment :))

This is a very rational vision and I get what you mean. More than the student's attitude I like the teacher that doesn't forgive and condone his student's behaviour.
I love how this manga seriously portraits people. It might not be the best art and scenery, but it's a dive in real emotions, real people, that hold grudges, bury feelings, get angry, do stupid things and get forgiven for it. And is MUCH MUCH better than the yaoi that we see these days, full of rape cases that show how little respect you have for a partner, how love is manipulative and bully.
This story and these character are the real deal.

I'm not surprised that this has lower rankings, seeing how people tend to love only the "easily diggestable" stories, not thinking really.

don't get forgiven for it *

Well said. It annoys me sometimes when people don't try to understand what the characters are going through given their situations and just keep blindly rioting because of what the student did without emphasizing how both characters are feeling. The best part of this story is they did not romanticize it either.

Yes it's not something light to just forget about, the student didn't do that either and treated it as a major deal as what we just read even with the teacher's insistence. The teacher may not have the best sense of judgement but that has also been addressed as well and stayed within his character.

Ikr they're just blindly wanting the student to stay away for life from the teacher because the former is a perpetrator and the latter is a victim. It's not like he's forcing the teacher to see him or stalking him or intentionally popping up to meet him except that one time when he was worried and went around his house, and even that they were coincidentally meeting. And they were mad that the teacher forgave him so easily just because he loved him and blah blah. It's not like the teacher forgave him easily, he did got mad and even said he didn't want to see his face. The student's sincere apologies and the way he kept moving forward although it only hurt him more and more, different from the teacher who kept moving backward from fear of hurting, slowly dissipated his anger and he started forgiving him. Like, why don't they see that different from yaoi rape trope mangas there's a process of forgiving here, not just the uke accepted being raped and be fine the next day without it getting mentioned ever again? The teacher even said he could forgive but he wouldn't forget. Like, does the victim not even have the right to forgive someone who has repented on his mistake?

    Excuse my ranting haha :))

Yeah, they were forcing their standardized opinion of what a perpetrator and a victim should do. It's not like the teacher forgive the student easily, it's through a process. He did get mad at first, but being a victim doesn't mean he should stay mad forever, and it's not like the student was a bastard who just kept charging forward without remorsing on his sin. Why don't they see that different from yaoi rape trope mangas there's a process of forgiving here, not just the uke accepted being raped and be fine the next day without it getting mentioned ever again? Does a victim doesn't even have the right to forgive?

You're right, that low rating is not a surprise, but it just irked me that this happened to this when many rapey yaoi mangas where the seme didn't even show a slight remorse become best sellers, many which I can't even get through the first few chapters because I'm just so annoyed because the seme is a real asshole and/or the uke is a dumb saint. There are even some that turn rape into comedy, and their ratings are great. Sorry for my ranting haha I'm just pissed (⌒▽⌒)

Maybe this is a minor and twisted opinion seeing many hated the seme, but I think he is pretty okay. Nothing justify rape, but after reading so many bl manga where rape gets passed on as if it was nothing, and seme forces and manipulates uke to accept him without repenting about what he did, I kinda like this seme. Right after he did it, he regretted it so much he hated himself. He apologized over and over again even though he knew it wouldn't be accepted. He couldn't even met the teacher's eyes anymore from guilt. He tried to avoid the teacher, stopped going to the places he might met him like cafeteria. At least from all the rapist semes in yaoi world, he's one of a few (pretty sure I can still count it with a hand) that I don't hate and I sincerely hope to end up with the uke (=・ω・=)

Of course him regretting it doesn't guarantee he can't do it again, but I don't think he will seeing his mental state. He used to be a straighforward and self-centered person, and did whatever he wanted. He raped the sensei because he was angry that the other didn't take him seriously and like someone else, that's selfish and wrong of him. But realizing what he had done destroyed those trait, understanding himself that he was unforgivable, and accepting his first love would never be requited. The him now I think only want to do anything to make the sensei happy and didn't hate him further, that's why he avoided the sensei and got mad and worried when he saw him crying. Well, I'm not a psychologist or something so this is just my thought though. Sorry it's long (⌒▽⌒)

    Lilyy November 15, 2018 1:49 pm

That’s exactly my thoughts , well said (▰˘◡˘▰) , in some bl mangas they rape ukes and blame it on them instead of apologizing and regretting .

    pennyinheaven November 16, 2018 6:05 am

Thank you for this very open minded and scrutinized analysis of the seme. If this was just romanticized rape trope then the story shouldn't be this serious. The author is exploring some rape scenarios and I really appreciate it.

    Joyeshaa November 17, 2018 4:30 pm

That's true. He realised his mistake. I still don't see it as rape because the teacher allowed him to actually do it, whether he liked it or not. It was forced but consensual. Is that even a thing?

Dubious consent. Nah it was rape. But it wasn't done by someone who intentionally wanted to do it. It was out of impulsive behavior. Yes, it was wrong but he can still be forgiven or be redeemed.
The teacher didn't really have consent, he just quit too early to defend himself/stop the seme.

It's not consensual, he just gave up on defending himself. Consensual means both of them want it equally, and there's something called dubious consent where the victim isn't sure whether he wants it or not. The teacher obviously didn't want it, hated it even. He just stopped defending himself and let seme did it because he sympathized with his unrequited love, understanding how it felt, but still he didn't reciprocate the act. Hence it's still rape, and non-consensual. That's just my take though :))

Why do I feel like Katsura resembles Bella Swan of Twilight so much? Like he can't choose between his lover and his friend, can't let go of either of them, can't draw the lines, and forces them to exist together although it hurts both of them. And he's so insensitive to others' feelings to add. The only plus point he has is that he's honest. He's the type of character I dislike, but at least he's still tolerable, I think.

Love how possessive and caring Sou is and how attentive Kouichi is. I wish the author put a story where Katsura is jealous of Sou, though, so he might understand how it feels and be more careful ( ̄へ ̄)
