I read this from someone else's spoiler from when i was reading the novel. There's gonna end up being a... kind of harem part... where two girls like him, and the love interest is going to be the (in my opinion) annoying, tsundere elf girl. I personally liked her as an eternally sister-zoned character, and i honestly wanted an elf girl side character that DOESN'T like the op protagonist and just kicks ass as a good friend... but NOoo, elf girls can't exist and NOT like the protagonist.

As i was reading the novel, then the spoiler, i thought that this development was a bit confusing because, in the novel, how it's told through his perspective, he frequently refers to/reminds us that the girls in his life are like his little sisters, but then it'd have weird moments where the dragon calls the elf girl "mommy"... and he constantly reminds us of how old of a guy he is and how childish the girls around him are... (before i read the spoiler) i honestly thought it was heading in a direction where he was gonna be flirting with the adult sexy teachers or somn ;)... but NoOo, the little girls ...

I saw the cringe ahh title, then saw the comments and thought "no fxking way this is a tear jerker.. I'll take a peek" I'm crying so much man, each character feels like a real person and not just accessories to the main characters. It's so emotionally authentic the author truly cares about what story they want to write. I have an exam in a couple of hours, i wasn't supposed to read this but it genuinely hooked me.

I like that the family genuinely cares for each other. Normally in family centered stories, for child mcs the brother/father and for mother mcs the son/husband care only for the mc and fight and bicker with each other for mc attention. Dad is pouring his affection for his sons as well as mc and is protective of them, brothers are openly affectionate with each other too.

I think i need more stories where mc is in a family where they all care for each other like this
