Guys, it's not you. The translation really is that bad and confusing. Every chapter has missing and out of order pages. If you can read spanish go read the spanish translation. It's only up onto ch.5 but you'll be able to understand at least. Usually I'm pretty good at getting the meaning but Even I barelly get this one. A couple of things, the girls name is not Icecream it's Ice, the 3rd kid doesn't have clay powers, he's an earth mage names clay. There's more but TLDR translation really bad, read at your own peril
Why hasn't the master explained why his descendants were hunted down? Why hasn't he tried to explain the history behind that choice? Why hasn't our little man asked for any of these details like old rivalries or ancient enemies? What is happening?
Just a theory: I think it’s because of their ability to improve their swordsmanship through consuming swords.
