I think it’s not entirely pointless cause this arc made Dohyeok realize that not everything can be obtain with the use of money, power, and aggression which he has been doing all his life. This arc also made him feel for the first time how to be ‘weak’ and on the ‘receiving end’, which he never experience cause he always maneuver the toxic rs. It also teaches Siwoo that all toxic and stupid actions will have its consequence, so better leave your curiosity or faces it’s worst outcome. It may be an undesired end (which I hope the author still makes another arc) but this end is acceptable, knowing how toxic their whole situation started.

I'm glad they didn’t end up together again. DW learns a lesson. A story doesn't always give you the happy ending, the two ppl kiss and make up together.

it's not acceptable because nothing changed with this ss. siwoo at the end has gone back to how he was at the beginning of the story: being in relationships without giving a fuck about the other person. dohyeok got raped twice and physically assaulted multiple times by siwoo, gangraped and became emotionally dependent on siwoo for comfort. what happens after that? doheyok likes siwoo, and siwoo rejects him because he thinks dohyeok isn't a good person. okay? where does this leave us? what was the point?????? 33 fucking chapters just to make dohyeok end up severely traumatized and alone? just to undo any character development dohyeok and siwoo had?
this is torture porn, nothing more nothing less. so don't try to spin this shitty ending as something it's not. this whole ss was for the people who hated dohyeok in the og story and wanted to him "punished" (read:raped). this is disgusting.

Exactly that’s the point. You still want them to end up lovey-dovey when their relationship literally revolves around toxicity? I’d rather want this ending than Dohyeok being miserable because of Siwoo once again when it’s still clear that’s it’s only Dohyeok who’s falling deep into an abyss. I’d rather want him to heal himself than being stuck on a cycle of misery.

Tf you mean spinning shitty ending as something it’s not? It doesn’t mean you take it in a different manner, all of us will also takes it the same, tf? Not everything should end up the way you wanted lmao, not every story there is, the characters should end up at the end. Knowing how S and D’s rs started? A toxic rs will bound to end with a toxic rs. That’s why if they end up together in this arc, it’s no sense more than them being separated cause it will literally shows how Dohyeok never went pass to his toxic cycle of rs.

So i’d rather want Dohyeok to be free from this sht and learned from all what he experienced than being with someone who doesn’t love him. I want him to heal first cause boy has PTSD, and anger issues. Being in an rs with these problem, they will still bound to fight or separate if not treated.

why is it so difficult for you to understand something that's been reiterated multiple times? no one is angry because dohyeok is alone, people are angry because he's traumatized and doesn't have any help, siwoo's character development was ruined with the last kiss scene, and DOHYEOK DOESN'T MOVE ON!
you keep saying shit like you want him "to pass his toxic cycle" "to be free" but THAT'S WHAT EVERYONE IS MAD ABOUT. he isn't free!!!! how many times do i need to say this before you understand??? dohyeok isn't free because do you not realize what he ends the story with??? he says "i won't let you go. i'll come see you again, seo siwoo". what part of that sounds like moving on to you? what part of that sounds like he's trying to get "out of his toxic cycle"? does that sound he's trying to heal? or does it sound like he's obsessed with the one person he's ever loved and unwilling to let go of them? please tell me how exactly you think this ending was good because all i see are wasted opportunities and complete derailment of any semblance of character development we might have had.

And how do you know what’s the next? The author didn’t implied this is the final end of their story. The ending was left hanging, therefore there’s still next part of this but who know when’s the author gonna wrote it. She might continue the side like LIAI or made a new one for them. You keep spouting like you’re the author yourself, we will never gonna know what’s the next move, knowing how this author made her story since Suha’s arc. She will always pull an unexpected move. So before you speak sht when the author didn’t even said it’s the final ending, let people think what they want. He might still seem toxic with his last words but doesn’t mean it still won’t change if the author continues this story knowing a lot of people are into it.

If I ask you, if he stays in that rs, do you think it will became better too? No matter what way he chooses, I still think that him being alone gives him more opportunity to realize things rather than getting stuck with Siwon. It might not show him healing in this arc, but doesn’t mean he won’t in the future arc.

bestie i'm also definitely encouraging the delulu energy, but come on. do you *really* believe we'll get anything more from dohyeok and siwoo? the author said it's the end of the side story and that she was sad it's over. the chances of her actually creating another manhwa are very very low.
i'll say it again: i don't have issues with an open ending (i had been anticipating one for a while now) or dohyeok leaving. i have issues with the fact that dohyeok hasn't moved on from siwoo and won't move on from siwoo. he can't heal bc he's obsessed with siwoo. and that was the author's final punishment to dohyeok. because he was a villain in suha's story, he isn't allowed to be anything other than a punching bag.

Honestly just read the novel it's really good!

I just finished the novel. Won't get into details, but you have been warned.
The relationship is interesting because of their dynamic, but the romance is very mild and doesn't really happen for a long time. The mushroom doesn't like the judge most of the time (I mean, he is a murderer and holds his life in his hands), but feels drawn to him and sympathetic. They do get together officially, but there are no explicit scenes, only a fade to black and vague description. For me, the romance became less interesting while the scifi aspects became more interesting as the story went on.
