Is no one else concerned that in the first chapter this dude literally killed her family? I mean yes they were abusive but FL doesn’t even seem to pay any mind about them. Not a single thought. And why was her first thought seeing him after HE KILLED HER FAMILY was that he was handsome… I mean okay? I mean I barely read this but I’m just gonna assume it has 9.5 star rating cause the art is good, but genuinely the plot is already not great considering how it opened.

Okay so the first season the romance wasn’t there BUT the plot is so good and like the fact the romance isn’t fully there was actually really nice because it showed the building of genuine trust between the ML and FL before any romance began which is honestly so refreshing!!!! I love all the characters they all have so much personality and are so well written. Especially BOTH the FL AND ML! Their thought processes and the way their relationship forms over time has so much realism and I honestly cannot wait for more chapters. I binged this in like three days and I’m so so so happy with the author. Everything about this so well thought out and I appreciate their hard work so so much! (づ￣ ³￣)づ

First off I will say that I actually do really like the MC’s design, I find her hair to be very cute despite some of the comments I’ve read saying they dislike it. The overall concept of this story is that she’s the author who transmigrated into her novel, which isn’t really looked into that deeply. The MC doesn’t really acknowledge often that the world she is inside of is the story she wrote, which I was hoping she’d bring more attention to but she didn’t??

Anyways, the romance between her and the ML is good, I feel like there could’ve been more tension, but still what we got is decent. I love the kids and think they’re adorable. The ogFL, seems nice and I really hope she doesn’t become the villain in the end. Mainly because I thought her relationship with the MC was sweet and also because the ogVillainess/owner of the MC’s body, made her promise to give everyone a happy ending and them being enemies doesn’t necessarily lead to ogFL having a happy ending.

Anyways, plot is rather basic and overused, but still a good read. The art is great and it’s rather fluffy at times. I find the ML’s expressions when he’s with the MC absolutely perfect, it makes you really tell that he has feelings for her. I like the fact they also show his perspective of the MC and his development in trying to not view her as just a possession but as a person who can make choices to do things without him all the time and stuff. The MC herself is rather nice, though she has little flaws and her presence in the story is somewhat impactful, her overall character seems kinda basic and lacking? I mean she has parts of her that I love, like her talent in caring for children and her overall kindness, but I really liked that one scene where she and the duke bickered for a bit while learning to dance.

I think that if they had dived more into the fact that she was the author of the story and had more knowledge of her book and was confused as to why the world was going off the pages, she’d probably have a bit more to her character. I think her overall lack of having a goal is what makes her seem less interesting. I mean at first it’s obviously to escape her family and then like be the maid to the kids. Then afterwards be the fiancé to the duke until the ogFL arrives. But afterwards it feels like she kinda lost her purpose for a bit, but obviously it seems that the story is gonna hone in on the fact that she is not from this world(finally!).

Anyways I like the manhwa and will be eager for the next updates!

Honestly the guy is hot. They got some serious sexual chemistry, but as someone who also looks for that emotional connection I can’t really tell with the ML. Like sometimes when he speaks I just wish he didn’t say what he said or does what he does, like honestly I’m imagining this happening in real life and all I see are red flags. He’s still hot though, I just can’t take him seriously. Like why is he kissing her body when she barely knows you?? Like sir…I mean maybe it’s to heal her? Idk… He’s like on the verge of being an assaulter and walking red flag. I mean FL isn’t like stopping him, at least not after that misunderstanding scene in the earlier chapters.

As for the FL she’s pretty nice. I think she looks gorgeous but her feelings for the ML are kinda lacking for me to the point it’s underwhelming. And vice versa, ML’s feelings seem so abrupt that they lack any sort of emotional connection and just plain physical lust. Like she met the guy once at her wedding, then when her saved her they shagged after knowing him for like a week? Then doing it again after not seeing him for a year. Which I mean I get one night stands, but I just can’t do that when it comes to a deep romance. She like deserves revenge but she can get a better man when it comes to personality and an actual deep meaningful romance. I also really want her to get revenge. Like girl burn them bitches to fucking ground. Also I don’t like how “submissive” she gets around the guy. Like girl own your ground, stand on business or whatever. After all she’s went through I get her timidness. But seriously I can’t with the girl being treated like some kind of pet by the guy.

Plus why is he helping her??? Cuz he wants to get down and dirty with her? Idk… his reasoning is just so…baseless. Well I mean I think there’s a reason, but it just hasn’t been revealed yet. I think he’s manipulating her, cause he’s making her out to be this kind of person he can use for whatever he’s planning. Which I mean if it’s going that way I think it’s kinda cool. But if I were FL I’d never speak to that man again after learning he was just like the ex husband and ex family that just used her to get what they wanted.

Anyways, I think I’m talking too much. So if you’re someone looking for a romance manhwa with revenge and a dare I say shallow love, or just sexual attraction this is your story. I’m not sure if shallow is what’s best to describe it, but I just don’t think this kind of relationship is my cup of tea. Well maybe they’re just really forward with how they feel about each other. But I just can’t imagine suddenly liking someone you barely know. Art is beautiful though and I love the concept.
