Hell even the most famous system bl manhua has an equal complicated plotline as this one
Like have you read half of the average chinese bl in this site????? Vro the omegaverse one has a wild plot, not as bad as this one but pretty wild in of itself.
Tldr; chinese plots are crazy, especially in MANHUAS
Imo its less a problem of complicated plotlines and comprehension of said plotlines, but moreso the presentation and pacing of the story. Anything complicated can be comprehended if given enough room to breathe, which i feel like this story just doesn't. At least thats my take on why this many ppl seem to not understand whats going on no more.
