i was wondering the same, but the manhua will probably gloss it over (like they've done with the worst of the torture liqing has suffered, for example, with the peeling of the pine nuts, that the novel was way more gruesome)

Like the end of season 2 was rly good, it had the angst, the remorse of the ml but it was so fast and it feels in this new season as of the end of season 2 never rly happened. Like i was to dwell more on the remorse, on the angst, on the begging for forgiveness and the process of getting close to the ml again. Like where is that?!!

Toxic BL doesn't necessarily require a forgiveness phase. And Ray ran away because he felt taken for granted. Now that El fascher is in deep shit and he's the main reason for it but also the main solution, this problem has disappeared.
