I liked the art better previously, I mean I guess it's still the same artist but ofc the art changes after years of drawing but now they all look so buff and muscular, even the women, Karina has more boob and wide shoulders as a man, she looks so healthy and nice now. The art previously was more "delicate" now it seems more "Shonen" and buff. Dunno how to describe it o:

maybe I'm too old for this kinda manga (I only watched episode 1 of the anime) but everything bugged me for some reason. A girl 15yo says she doesn't understand love or that she's not normal for not falling in love at some point like gurl ur 15, say that when ur 30 or something. Or the guy falling for a girl just because of an umbrella. Would he have fallen in love with every girl that held out her umbrella at that time. I bet many girls would have done that cause he looked good. Everything is so childish for me, but yeah mybe cause I'm too "old" for a coming of age manga with love at first sight over trivial things and a girl falling for him just cause he does some nice things for her
Well I'm also too old for this type of manga, but there are people no matter what age, who are not normal, I put myself as an example. I'm in a relationship for 9 years with my BF but I'm not that affectionate at all, I give him money and stuff, that's just how I show "love" cause that's how my asian parents showed me "love". I have abusive parents growing up, they physically abuse me up until college and hired a stalker to monitor me, because of that I don't know what's normal or not, and I think incest, stalking, and abusing someone is normal (tho i enjoy watching or observing people who commit such acts, I don't commit it myself), and that's why reading mangas like this will at least help me understand what it is to love or what it is like to be normal. I'm with my BF in the pretense of "loving " him, I enjoy his company, he knows I'm like this and accepted me for who I am. But in the end, deep inside, I don't understand human emotions at all.

This story sounds like people who think they're unlovable falling in love w eachother. Regardless of their age I've seen a lot of stories with a plot like this and you kinda just seem a bit ignorant abt their mind process
The guy wants a soulmate, yet because he's attractive everyone approaches him but they leave just as fast bc he isn't what they expected. So he's a people pleaser. He wants to be loved so badly that he changes and adapt himself to fit their partner's taste just so they can stay with him
Now the girl, it's not only she's never been in loved even tho she's young. Most people know what it's like to like someone or want to have a partner, it's something that you see around you all the time; yet she doesnt understand that, she doesn't comprehend what romantic love is at all
tbh I think if this story wasnt abt high-schoolers you wouldnt disregard it so hars
you do understand human emotions (anything you are feeling, and even not ‘not feeling’ is human :), and you are normal. idk why you suddenly traumadumped without warning though. anyway, you’re a normal person.
If we think about this story based on what will happen irl, yes it feels childish. But remember, this is manga in shojo genre, so no wonder. I come here from the anime too

i can understand this not being your cup of tea but if you do decide to give the manga a chance i promise its not that shallow. its cringe at times and irritating at times but what is a teenager if not cringe and irritating. i think the growth was really well written and a lot more nuanced than i originally thought going into it
How old are they? From the art I can't really distinguish. Sometimes they look like and act like older teens (like 16 to 18) And other times the fl looks like she's 10 cause of the short limbs and the childish face and the ml also isn't that much bigger than her and he looks like 14 and also has a very youthful face. The elders also don't look much older or bigger, they just have more wrinkles

For some reason, both main characters seem unlikeable to me, maybe it's the lack of worldbuildingor the "fantasy culture"they created there or the way the fl is too naive/Innocent or dumb to understand anything.
In my opinion like inform urself before entering a country directly, I mean yes news reach the north years later but with her experience of travelling I expect she whould have more common sense. And the ml don't get me started...his overall being and behaviour is so unlikeable and I know he's suppost to be "the powerful god like king who can do anything he wants and doesn't need to explain himself" but the way he treats the fl and the way she reacts to all that UGHHH WHY

ooh could be also true, I don't remember exactly but it was a relative of the emperor dunno anymore if sister cousin or something. Now the question is of the emperor knows and maybe he's satisfied with the 2 consorts he has, the young girl of the previous emperor is just there cause of formalities and I don't think he's gonna lay a hand on her, maybe he thinks of her like a daughter and the new consort is a relative, maybe to strenghen his influence on the harem he put her there to spy also. I really like the current emperor and I think he has a nice and good personality.

Things just happened, it wasn’t a deliberate disbanding. I won’t spoil too much but if you want to know, I don’t mind sharing. The light novels are amazing - can’t wait for the manga to catch up (but that will probably take years as the manga has maybe reached the LN4), and I doubt (though I really hope so) they’ll adapt them all into the anime.

So Shisui and Suirei are both part of the Shi clan that kidnaps Maomao (even though the sisters aren’t really bad - Shisui’s mother is), and then Jinshi finally reveals who he is in order to go rescue Maomao, and in the whole ‘war’ (not quite a war but more of an ambush), Shisui fakes her death and disappears and Suirei being revealed to have royal blood is kept safe at AhDuo’s place (she can’t reveal herself as she’s supposed to be dead). The Shi clan gets annihilated. So this way we get down to three consorts.
All this while Consort Gyoukoun has a son and becomes the Empress, so then we get down to 2 high consorts. And then later on they try to get Consort Lishu to marry Jinshi, but obviously he doesn’t and Consort Lishu also gets embroiled in a controversy and gets banished to a life of nunnery for a year (by the way Lishu and Basen - Goushun’s son - fall in love
I bought all the LNs from j-novels. I had a membership with them a couple years back and didn’t know I kept collecting coins each month, so had enough coins to buy 9 volumes. After which I got the membership again as vol 10 was free to read with the membership and the release one chapter each week for vol 11 till it’s release, so as a member you get to read it before the release. If that’s an option for you I would suggest it.
