My first manga was Fruits Basket which tormented me for years because not only did my library only have the first few volumes but it was years before it officially ended and I could (first find the books) and finish. My first anime was Fushigi Yuugi from some VHS tapes i got at a garage sale - also frustrating me because i couldnt finish for years....... reply
