Also incest stories are certainly not THAT common in BL Even more when they are blood related, there is a cultural difference in Japan and maybe in other Asian countries so yeah you can find step sibling romance, or adopted siblings Romane, but most times it’s non blood related sibling romance
I think it steam from the fact that non related siblings are actually allowed to marry each others in Japan and adoption is often used as a way to secure inheritance, legacy and stuff in Japan.
