It’s ‘historical’, set in pre-unified Germany (I think, I’m not German), and the heroine is the eldest daughter of a noble family where the dad’s just died, the only son ran off to war, the second daughter is a ne’erdowell bisexual in love with her former comrade in arms and the local hottie wants to fix the heroine up with his terminally shy and badly scarred brother who probably met the heroine when they were choldren and she thought he was a girl.
Also, the housekeeper makes a mean pie.

Yes, I am sad I’ve lost easy access to stories whose names I can’t quite remember.
But… my ‘now reading’ list had so much in it that I was getting overwhelmed by the updates.
It’s hard to be truly sad when the error has saved me the effort of sorting through dozens of manga et al.
