I had to reread this entire thing.. It still annoys me that he just suddenly could fuck a random guy when that's why they ended things.... but also its messy like real life can be. I think he was too scared to ruin their entire thing to rush into sex in case it didn't work out, so he used the other guy to "test" if he actually could. Fair enough.
